Praise The Lord We Are Home!

Thank you for caring and for keeping us in your prayers. God called us to go for Him and we went.  Check in later this week for photos from the project and an update of all the stats and observations.

Getting Ready To Board NYC to Nashville

It is close to 2:00 PM Eastern time and we are finally getting ready to get on our last flight that leads to home. We probably will be in the air by 2:30 and arrive back in Nashville between 3:30 and 4:00 PM. What at day. You would not believe all that has happened. It is a miracle that we are here. Long story but Joan and I had to pray, prod, and calm down 25 angry Dubai to New York passengers who were not going to be allowed to board our flight in order to get us all on the Dubai to New York flight. Joan is amazing. She calmed the passengers and distraught airline workers down and they let us all on the plane.

Our plane just landed and they are deplaning the passengers arriving and then we will board. Praise the Lord. It is so nice to be sitting in the airport listening to Christmas carols and eating nachos. Life is good!

Seriously - thank you all for praying for us and for helping us complete this historic and strategic mission. I cannot wait to share with you all the results and developments. Some will bog your mind.  Have a great day and I will post one more blog tonight from home and then a link on wednesday for all the photos. Check back here or on our onthego.org site.

Listen wednesday morning to WDBL & WSGI around 7:30 am where I will be doing a live interview on our trip. (This is for you folk who live in Northern Middle Tennessee.

Plane Delayed

After a wonderful visit to Rasheed's families home, where we were greeted by brothers, sisters, uncles, children, and grandchildren, Joan and I were drive to the airport for our flight home to the USA. Upon arrival we were informed (after our hosts had driven away) that our flight was delayed two hours. We have only a two hour layover at our next stop so we need everyone to pray for the connection for us. Since we need to get home to finalize our Inner City outreach plans and I am scheduled to do a radio interview we really need to make the connection.

We are so excited to share with everyone our experiences in Pakistan. The liberal media, and many politicians have really hurt Pakistan's future stability and we all need to pray for this country. We now have so many friends in this wonderful place and we want to see them prosper and be at peace.  I will have one or two more updates and then on wednesday I plan to have all the photos we have online.

God Speaks At Final Service

Joan and I had a fantastic time this morning at our final service in Karachi. Joan shared from Nehemiah and I shared from Joshua at the Jordan. What a powerful service. At the close of the message we saw 37 hands uplifted representing a decision for Christ. We also had many believers committing to follow the Lord more fully and had 30 people ask for prayer for financial, emotional, and physical needs. What a great way to end our mission.

Joan and I have enjoyed our mission to Pakistan and anticipate God sending On The Go back into this area to do ministry again. We have been invited to come back next October or November and do a major Festival in Karachi. We are asking God to send many other evangelists and pastors to work along side us as we reach out in this massive city of close to 17 million.

Now in Multan - Preparing For Huge Campus Crusade Training Event

When we arrived yesterday in Failalabad we immediately loaded up in a van and headed to the Presbyterian Training Center where I shared with over 100 pastors about real evangelism and obstacles for ministers. It went so good. They gladly received our teaching and we left with them wanting more. We gave each one all of the materials we had translated and they left for lunch and we for our 5 hour trip to Multan. Wow - what a journey. We arrive just in time to eat dinner and head to bed. We now are preparing for our morning event co-sponsored by Campus Crusade For Christ. Pray for us. They are really wanting to see God do a lot in this meeting. After we finish around lunch time - while they are eating lunch at the event we will head back to the airport to fly to our next venue. Pray for power today as Joan and I speak and for safety when we travel and fly.

Flying Today To Faisalabad

Joan and I, along with the Pakistani Team will be flying in two hours to another city to do 3 events. These meetings will be strategic in setting the agenda for future work and ministry here. Our seminar and meetings last night went great and were well received. We pray that these cities will respond as well. Pray for our safety in traveling and for our health and well being. God is working in marvelous ways.

Hundreds Attend Outreach Seminar

Massive Evangelism Conference Today At 4:00

GoCard in Urdu Language

This is the GoCard translated into the Urdu language. This is the language of most of the people in Pakistan. We are excited to have this personal witnessing tool translated into this language. Remember that the GoCard is not to be give away but simply a visual tool for believers to use to explain their faith.

First Service At Pakistani CHurch

After driving for over 2 hours we arrived at a wonderful church way on the outskirts of Karachi. We had car problems but finally arrived safely. These dear people came out at 9:00 PM and stayed up till 10:30 just to hear a fresh word from God. What an honor to share the good news with them. More than half the crowd responded to the message. Their warmth and love was felt by Joan and I. They presented us with the most wonderful stone carvings to bring back as gifts from their congregation.

We are in Dubai, UAE

What a great flight we had to New York on Jet Blue. Our Delta flight was delayed and we were told to be back at a certain time and when we arrived back at that time the plane was gone. The devil really wanted to stop us from getting to Pakistan. Joan and I caught a Jet Blue flight and it was wonderful. Great seats - great video, great service. Lots of room and comfort. (Great price toooo!)

We arrived in New York and had to huff it down to Emirates in order to get on the flight. When we arrived at the gate we found out that we were not sitting together for a 12 hour flight. This may not seem like a big deal but it is if you travel a lot and value each minute with your family. Joan and I prayed and waited till the last person was boarding and then the attendant called us up to the desk and said here are your new tickets. Side by side! Praise the Lord.

The flight, while long, was great. Emirate Air has great food, great entertainment system, and great service. We ate dinner, watched a 30 minute comedy, and then slept until breakfast. Then we got off and are now waiting on our plane that will take us to Karachi.

Keep praying for us. When we arrive we immediately get in a vehicle and drive to the city of Hydrabad where we will have our first Leadership Meeting and then drive back to Karachi.

We will try to keep you posted with news that will not hinder our safety or telegraph our exact location.

Plane Delayed In Nashville

Our flight has been delayed in Nashville but is on it's way. Leaving now at 4:17. Joan and I are so excited that God is using us to do His will. Thank you all for praying for us and for helping us be in the center of God's will for our lives. Since Jesus gave it all for us are we to do no less for Him. Even though we can not do anything in our own strength we can depend on and follow Him.

Here are some thoughts God gave me these past few days. I hope they encourage you. (via Oswald Chambers) Joan and I will be reading his devotional each day in Pakistan - so read along with us. Do a search online for his devotional.

When you obey the call of Jesus Christ, the first thing that strikes you is the irrelevancy of the things you have to do, and the next thing that strikes you is the fact that other people seem to be living perfectly consistent lives. Such lives are apt to leave you with the idea that God is unnecessary, by human effort and devotion we can reach the standard God wants. In a fallen world this can never be done. I am called to live in perfect relation to God so that my life produces a longing after God in other lives, not admiration for myself. Thoughts about myself hinder my usefulness to God. God is not after perfecting me to be a specimen in His show-room; He is getting me to the place where He can use me. Let Him do what He likes.

There is only one relationship that matters, and that is your personal relationship to a personal Redeemer and Lord. Let everything else go, but maintain that at all costs, and God will fulfil His purpose through your life. One individual life may be of priceless value to God's purposes, and yours may be that life.

The way we continually talk about our own inability is an insult to the Creator. The deploring of our own incompetence is a slander against God for having overlooked us. Get into the habit of examining in the sight of God the things that sound humble before men, and you will be amazed at how staggeringly impertinent they are. "Oh, I shouldn't like to say I am sanctified; I'm not a saint." Say that before God; and it means - "No, Lord, it is impossible for You to save and sanctify me; there are chances I have not had; so many imperfections in my brain and body; no, Lord, it isn't possible." That may sound wonderfully humble before men, but before God it is an attitude of defiance.

Pray For Peace In The Middle East & Success For Keith & Joan In Pakistan

Praise God the visas were granted and came in.

We will be ministering in 5 cities. Please pray for us as we go out.

We will be meeting with 100 to 500 leaders and pastors in each city and doing evangelistic outreach in the area.

Our training events will have two purposes.

1. To Train the pastors in personal evangelism so they can share with their people.
2. Share and encourage networking and partnerships in each city/area so we can do some bold united outreach projects. On The Go has made a strategic pledge to help in the area over the next 5 years. We are going to be sending in teams of evangelists and pastors over the next 5 years to each of the cities and others. This is historic and strategic.

We need your help and prayers.

1. We still need funds to come in to cover the remainder of the needs we have for this project and pressing matters. If you would like to help or know of someone who could PLEASE do so now. Email us asap and we will look for your/their assistance to come in even after we are gone.

2. Join us in praising God for the funding we have received for this mission. It has been miracle after miracle. So many have giving so sacrificially. These have been over and above monthly support pledges. Everyone has been so kind. With all the spiritual warfare going on it has been so good to have something coming in each day to help us go.

3. While we are gone the ministry at home goes on. We have the INNER CITY CHRISTMAS project going on. Adoption of families, buying of gifts. Plus all of our festivals and GoTeam project planning. The ministry is growing and going!

4. Pray for our safety and for wisdom as we go into the Middle East. We are going out as carefully and wisely as we know how but we know ultimately we are in God's hands. The Lord Jesus will be with us and direct the Holy Sprit to guide and guard us.

If you have any words of encouragement, wisdom or words from God for us please email. I will try to get you news and updates from Pakistan if at all possible.
